SUE EDWARDS - CANTERBURY CLINICS 2026

We are thrilled to again be hosting UK coach, Sue Edwards, for clinics, cross-country group lessons, and private lessons in October/November this year (see flyer below for details).  This will be our sixth year of attending Sue's clinics and we cannot recommend her teaching highly enough.

With extensive experience both coaching and competing at high-level across a multitude of disciplines, Sue has a vast amount of knowledge which she is very generous in sharing!  She has a wonderful ability of breaking things down into simple, understandable steps, and this combined with her encouraging and supportive teaching style, helps riders and horses of all ages and stages to gain confidence and progress.

Overview: 5-Buttons of Flatwork Clinic (3-days)
Whether you’re an experienced competitor aiming to take things to the next level, stuck and looking for guidance to progress, or just starting out and unsure where to begin, Sue is here to help!  Using her ‘5-Buttons of Flatwork’ teaching system, Sue breaks flatwork down into simple and easy-to-understand components.
RIDER SPACES FULLY-BOOKED

Overview: Jumping Fundamentals & Beyond Clinic (2-days)
Whether you are new to jumping and not sure where to start, or an experienced jumper looking to progress to the next level, Sue is able to assist!  Her teaching will help you build more confidence with jumping and expand your boundaries – all while offering guidance and support throughout.  Jumping is a natural extension of your flatwork, making it an ideal opportunity to test and refine your skills and, surprisingly for some, have fun in the process!  No previous jumping experience is required to take part, and riders of all levels are welcome. There will be a range of rider/horses from poles on the ground to jumping 90cm+ and riders will be grouped based on their jumping experience as much as possible.
2 RIDER SPACES REMAINING

Overview: Cross-Country Group Lessons (2-hours each)
If you are participating in the ridden lesson, you must be comfortable to jump 60cm+ (and preference bookings are given to those who also book to ride on the ‘Jumping Fundamentals & Beyond’ Clinic).  The online/from the ground lesson is a great opportunity for those who may not be ready/do not want to jump while riding, but would like to get Sue’s guidance on introducing your horse to cross-country jumps from the ground – as well as an extra option for those who are doing the ridden lesson to let your horse have a look/have a go first from the ground.  There are a maximum of four spaces available in each group lesson and participants all participate together in one group i.e. you will participate for the duration of the 2-hour allotted timeframe.
1-2 SPACES AVAILABLE IN EACH GROUP

Outside Christchurch?  Private Clinic?  Host Sue in Your Area!
